Working with managers and staff to use Creative Improvement methods in the settings in which people are living

We work with staff teams to create a climate in which the creative methods we used are adopted by staff and built into routines and how staff interact with the people who are living in the setting – ward, care home, supported living scheme. As morale and a focus on creativity balances more challenging interactions, the possibility of improving outcomes and reducing the intensity of staffing provision becomes possible.

Staff join in sessions and learn how to set these up with our team. We teach a use of music technology to enable sustainable activities when we are now present. We model in real time a number of techniques that encourage inclusion and identity and social interaction involving residents and staff – showing how to develop these into routines that bring a positive expectation and increasing levels of participation.

This also involves attending and running sessions at staff meetings and working with the leadership team to develop an enhanced vision and approach based on creative approaches to relationships.
